TargetCancer Foundation is a unique and impactful organization. It does not just fund research, but aims to support an entire community of patients, caregivers, clinicians and researchers joined in one mission – treating and eventually curing rare cancers. By encouraging innovation and collaboration, TargetCancer Foundation provides real hope and options for patients facing a rare cancer diagnosis. The TRACK fully remote clinical trial expands those options to patients not located near a major health care center. This is exactly what TCF’s founder – and my dear friend – Paul Poth intended when he collected small donations door to door in our office to start the foundation, all while fighting his own battle against cholangiocarcinoma. Paul is why I got involved in 2009.
Our first Gala was a labor of love for everyone involved. Kristen, Jim and everyone else who have built TCF into what it is today are why I remain a proud Board Member.
The critical importance of TCF’s mission cannot be overstated during these uncertain times when support for science and innovation is threatened. Please consider how you can get involved to help us continue Paul’s mission to provide rare cancer patients the priceless gifts of hope and time with loved ones.
