TargetCancer Foundation is honored to be a beneficiary of the Golf Fights Cancer Golf Marathon. This annual community partnership event raises awareness and funds to support local organizations that improve the lives of those facing a cancer diagnosis.

The 2026 Golf Fights Cancer Golf Marathon took place on June 4 and 5 at the Juniper Hills Golf Course in Northborough, MA. We need YOU to help fill and support our 2027 team!

Golf Fights Cancer Golf Marathon

What’s involved?

Golfers of all skill levels play 100 holes in one day while fundraising for TCF’s work in support of patients and families facing a rare cancer diagnosis. It’s all fun and less work than it sounds! You don’t keep score and the rules are flexible — you just have to enjoy playing and want to be a part of this meaningful day. Junior golfers (25 and under) are also welcome to participate.

What’s included?

Every player gets their own golf cart, food and beverages for the day, event swag, fundraising support and incentives, and the satisfaction of spending a day on the links helping the TargetCancer Foundation community!

What’s required?

Each golfer must raise a minimum of $4,000 (the goal for junior golfers under age 25 is $2,000). Fundraising tools and guidance are provided to help you secure donations from friends, family, and colleagues.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are two dates listed. Is this a two-day commitment?
No, each player selects to play on either Thursday or Friday, but not both. The two dates are offered to allow more golfers to participate. Slots are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, and the Friday date tends to fill up quickly. Be sure to register soon if that’s your ideal date.
I would love to do this with a family member or friend, but they are under 18 – is that okay?
Yes! Junior golfers are welcome (25 and under). There is also a lower fundraising minimum for junior golfers ($2,000 vs. $4,000), and an option to form a team to share fundraising responsibilities across players.
I’m not a great golfer – can I still participate?
Absolutely! Players of all skill levels are invited to participate — you’re just out there to have fun. You can play at your own speed, and tips and tricks will be provided to help you make that 100th shot.
How do I play 100 holes of golf in one day?

The goal is to play as many holes as possible — but you don’t keep score!

  • Golfers are assigned a starting hole and can then scatter and play any hole as they wish.
  • Participants can play multiple balls per hole and count them towards their tally.
  • Putts ‘inside the leather’ are gimmies.
What is the schedule for the day?
  • 6:30 AM – Registration and Breakfast
  • 7:15 AM – Shotgun Start (play approximately 50 holes before lunch)
  • 11:30 AM – Lunch Speaking Program
  • 12:30 PM- Golf resumes (complete approximately 50 remaining holes)
  • 5:00 PM – Golf concludes
I’ve never fundraised for an event before — is there help available?
Yes, the teams at Golf Fights Cancer and TargetCancer Foundation are happy to assist all players with their fundraising questions and can provide many suggestions based on past experiences. We are also happy to help answer any additional questions that you have.
Do I have to create my own website to fundraise?
All golfers are provided with a website page template that they customize to share their story and collect donations. Setting it up is an easy process, and we are here to help you through it! This will also provide you with an easy link to share with friends and family to make their donations.
