Together, they will run 26.2 miles to honor and raise awareness for patients and families facing a rare cancer diagnosis.

This year’s team was selected from over 150 applications – the most competitive applicant pool in Team TCF history! They represent nine states and two countries, and include both veteran marathoners and those who are new to distance running. While each runner has their own personal connection to TCF’s work, they are coming together as one to raise funds in support of TCF’s rare cancer research and advocacy programs.

Team TCF26 is being led by two alumni runners: Colin Carey and Caitlin Panciocco, both running in memory of their fathers, whom they lost to cholangiocarcinoma. Caitlin and Colin are two of the most successful fundraisers in Team TCF history, in addition to being two of TCF’s biggest cheerleaders. Their leadership and experience will serve the team well as they help guide their teammates up and over Heartbreak Hill enroute to Boylston Street.

As they cross that finish line in Copley Square, Josephine Ngong-Tawe and Joseph Orlando will simultaneously achieve another impressive feat – collecting their prestigious Six Star medal, as they complete the Six Abbott World Marathon Majors. We are thrilled that they will be celebrating this accomplishment as a member of Team TCF, while also honoring the memories of their husband and father, respectively.

Learning from these veterans are Joseph Brady, Hannah Nguyen, and Zack DeLuca who are inspiring us all by tackling the infamously challenging Boston Marathon course as their first-ever marathon! Each of them is running in memory of a beloved family member lost to a rare cancer. Their commitment to the team and our mission is undeniable, and we are excited to support and encourage them along the way to achieving this impressive milestone.

Team member Zoe Schreiber has rallied her community into action through her social media videos and her fundraising events as she spreads awareness about her mother’s current experience facing a cholangiocarcinoma diagnosis. Zoe’s experience caring for her mom and for her many patients as a nurse in Baltimore is not only inspiring her training, but her incredible fundraising as well.

This year’s team also reflects the importance of raising awareness globally, as we have three runners connecting communities across the world. Alex Adair will be returning to Boston from London to run in memory of his mother, a beloved teacher in Shrewsbury, MA. Australian Jarrod Liston is running in memory of his childhood best friend, who passed away from Ewing Sarcoma when they were in their early 20s, and Narek Tovmasyan, born and raised in Armenia, is preparing to run ‘the most meaningful race of my life’ in memory of his father.

In 2025, Marcel Thompkins became the first Team TCF runner to secure the Abbott World Marathon Majors Six Star medal.

Finally, Jess Miller will be returning to Boston to run in honor of her father, who received exceptional care for prostate cancer just two miles down the road from the finish line. Jess joined Team TCF because her father’s experience showed her ‘how critical continued funding and innovation are for all cancer patients and their families’.

Each member of our team is running to honor a loved one who has faced a challenging cancer diagnosis. We encourage you to read their inspiring stories on our team campaign page to learn more about them and the special people motivating their Boston Marathon dreams. Please follow along as they undertake this important challenge via our social media channels (@targetcancer) and their fundraising pages. Your support is truly appreciated, and we hope to see you at our official cheering station in Wellesley on Marathon Monday!

Off to a great start!

Team TCF26 has set an ambitious fundraising goal to raise $175,000 before they line up in Hopkinton on April 20, 2026. We are incredibly proud that as the new year began, they had already surpassed $100,000! Please visit the team campaign page if you are interested in supporting the runners.
